Laura Matz will become Chief Science and Technology Officer at chemicals and pharmaceuticals group Merck on July 1. Matz’s responsibilities will then include Digital, Enterprise Data, Future Insight, and the company’s Innovation Hubs in China, Israel, the United States, and at Group headquarters in Darmstadt. Matz had been Head of Planarization in Merck’s semiconductor materials business since 2019.
