Six years ago, when Kuka was bought by the Chinese household appliance manufacturer Midea, there was a great outcry that the robot manufacturer from Augsburg was cheaply handing over German know-how and technology to China. Kuka stands exemplarily for the sellout of Germany. Today, Tuesday, the Chinese parent company Midea is planning the next big step in the Kuka matter. Frank Sieren takes this as an opportunity to take stock of Kuka: Was the fear back then justified?
