Forced labor and China – the topic is a perennial one. Recently, the USA imposed an import ban on products from Xinjiang that could be linked to forced labor. The EU is still lagging somewhat behind here. Nor is such a ban included in the new supply chain law that will be introduced on Wednesday. Bernd Lange is very disappointed in an interview with China.Table: „ Ursula von der Leyen has simply talked too much on this subject, „ complains the chairman of the European Parliament’s trade committee. But Lange promises not to lose sight of the issue. In any case, according to him, the EU supply chain law might not take effect until early 2026.
