Accusing a government of genocide is no trivial matter. After the Second World War, the United Nations decided to prosecute genocide, a „crime of crimes.“ Since more and more reports point to the Chinese government’s systematic oppression of the Uyghurs, there is an international discussion on whether the events in Xinjiang fulfill the facts of „genocide.“
