VW China is on fire. But it remains unclear whether the fire broke out at the headquarters in Wolfsburg or in Beijing. Nothing is coming out of the VW Group about the reasons for the replacement of its China boss Stephan Wöllenstein. Sure, sales of electric cars aren’t going as planned in China. But VW is still the market leader in gasoline cars. And is Wöllenstein even responsible for the mess or just a pawn?
