Dear reader,

a quarter of a century was the A-Class, an important mainstay of the Mercedes-Benz brand. That will soon come to an end. In 2025, the compact car is to be taken out of the program. The reason: in the future, margin will take precedence over volume . And premium-class models generate more margin than mid-range cars. This also applies to the Chinese market, where the Stuttgart-based automaker has explicitly chosen more luxury as a central pillar of its China strategy.
