Europe has a problem with Chinese steel. First, it is produced with state subsidies and in a way that is harmful to the climate, and then it ends up on the European market at knockdown prices. There is no question of fair competition, and certainly no question of climate protection. But the EU wants to do something about it. The so-called CO2 border adjustment is about to be voted on in the European Parliament. Actually, the MEPs were supposed to vote yesterday. But the vote was postponed.
