Shanghai is getting ready: The first premieres have already been unveiled on the eve of the world’s largest car show, Auto Shanghai 2025. From Wednesday to May 2, the trade fair will showcase more than 100 cars from 70 Chinese and international brands. Just two years ago, international visitors experienced a collective moment of speechlessness in the same exhibition halls. Numerous previously unknown brands showed with innovative cars how fast China’s automotive industry had developed during the Covid years. Much has changed for German manufacturers here since then.
