Chip manufacturer between the fronts

The decoupling of the Chinese semiconductor market is in full swing. Local production is the key to remaining relevant in China. International manufacturers, however, find themselves caught between the fronts of trade disputes, as the example of Micron shows.

What does a company do when Beijing spoils its China business on flimsy grounds? It will invest all the more in China because that is where its most important customers are. This is what the US semiconductor manufacturer Micron has now done.
