The European Commission follows this development with concern and attempts to set guidelines to counteract it. One new element is the EU Competition Compass that Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented last week. The Compass is considered a roadmap for competition with all major economies. But between the lines, the document reveals who the EU plans to target specifically in the future: China.
