Agathe Demarais, Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), believes she has found the answer. In a recent analysis, the researcher concludes that EU sanctions could deter China from a possible attack. However, the measures would have to meet certain criteria to be effective.
