China has started building the first space-based supercomputer. On May 14, a carrier rocket launched the first twelve satellites of a planned „Three-Body Computing Constellation“ into orbit. The network of small satellites will process data directly in space, marking the start of an ambitious project. The project will involve a total of 2,800 satellites, forming the first supercomputer in space.
