This represents a significant change in India’s foreign policy, as India has long been interested in shaping the Western-dominated world order in a more pluralistic way with other BRICS countries. According to Delhi, however, China is now more interested in expanding its own power aspirations in the region, which is why India feels that it must oppose it.
