Herbert Diess does not consider the heavy dependence of Europe’s renewables sector on China a problem. In an interview with Table.Briefings, he says that we should be grateful to China. However, the former VW boss has a problem with the European car industry’s hesitation to embrace electromobility.

Mr. Diess, the wind and solar energy sector is hugely dependent on Chinese products, with up to 90 percent market share. But you don’t consider this dependence on China to be a problem. Why not?
