Ban on single-use plastic on flights

The Chinese government will ban foil packaging, tableware and straws made from single-use plastic on domestic flights from 2022. This is reported by the Xinhua news agency concerning an announcement by the aviation authority. These items will also no longer be used at major airports. A year later, the ban will also apply to international flights. Airlines are starting to introduce reusable tableware and separate waste on board.
