China’s Shenzhen-based electric car and battery company BYD has significantly increased its sales in 2021. The company said at its annual press conference on Wednesday that sales increased by 38 percent – from 153 billion yuan (21.6 billion euros) in 2020 to 211 billion yuan (29.9 billion euros). BYD’s car sales increased 73.3 percent to 740,100 vehicles in the same period.
