China and USA agree on more climate protection

They are by far the two largest greenhouse gas emitters in the world: China and the USA. Together, they cause almost 40 percent of the world’s climate-damaging CO2 emissions. Without more climate protection by these two economies, all climate protection efforts would be in vain. At the UN climate conference in Glasgow, both sides are said to have agreed on „concrete plans“, at least that’s what Chinese climate envoy Xie Zhenhua announced on Wednesday evening in Glasgow.
