The head of government of China’s Guangxi Autonomous Region has resigned amid a corruption probe. Investigations are also underway against the former chief of the country’s food and drug regulator.

Lan Tianli, chairman of the government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has resigned from his post due to „suspected serious violations of discipline and law,“ according to reports by state media on Thursday citing an official announcement.
