Eckert & Ziegler AG, a global specialist for radioactive medical applications, expects to start construction of a production facility in Jiangsu, two hundred kilometers northwest of Shanghai, before the end of the year. To this end, the Berlin-based company said it signed a contract with the Jiangsu Jintan Economic Development Zone Administration Committee to acquire a 13,300-square-kilometer industrial site. The site, which is to be owned by a subsidiary of Eckert & Ziegler, is to be used to manufacture a variety of radioactive pharmaceutical and industrial products in Jiangsu. It is also planned to make the infrastructure available to third parties for joint use.
