EU circles: NGOs were not negotiated at CAI

A controversial paragraph in the investment agreement between the EU and China (CAI) on the treatment of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) was introduced unilaterally by the Chinese side, according to EU sources. The relevant paragraph in the CAI annexes was not discussed during the negotiations, sources from the EU Commission told China.Table.
