The US government imposed sanctions on Tuesday against more than 20 companies which, according to the Department of the Treasury, are involved in a network that is believed to have supplied Iranian oil worth several billion US dollars to China. The revenue from these transactions is said to have been used to fund Iran’s missile and drone program, nuclear armament and attacks by the Houthi militia against ships in the Red Sea, the US Navy and Israel.
