The Chinese electric car start-up Jiyue, originally founded in 2021 under Jidu as a „Robocar brand,“ is in financial difficulties. The joint venture between Geely and Baidu is apparently no longer even able to pay employee social security. There are also rumors of mass layoffs. However, the company has denied bankruptcy.
