Chinese online retailers Temu and Shein are announcing price increases in the USA from April 25. This is due to new US tariffs and the elimination of a previous import advantage that allowed the companies to ship goods under USD 800 to the USA duty-free. In almost identical customer notifications, both companies refer to increased operating costs as a result of „current changes in global trade rules and tariffs.“ Customers were urged to order „now at today’s price.“
