Record production of rare earths planned

China continues to gain foreign independence in electronics raw materials preparing for more rounds of trade wars. Beijing is ramping up its production of rare earths sharply. The Ministry of Commodities in Beijing announced concrete production plans for the first of two batches this year – and caused astonishment with the high figures.
