The European Union and India have agreed to resume talks on a free trade agreement. According to a joint statement issued after the EU-India summit in Porto, Portugal, the agreement is intended to respond to the „current challenges“. Additionally, an investment protection agreement and an agreement on the protection of indications of origin are to be discussed separately.
