The U.S. Parliament on Wednesdaypassed the long-awaited bill to strengthen the domestic semiconductor industry against China . Members of both camps, Democrats and Republicans, voted in favor of the „Chips and Science Act,“ as the law is called in Washington political slang. This resulted in a clear majority of 64 votes; only 33 senators voted against. All that remains is for President Joe Biden to sign the bill into law.
