In the run-up to the parliamentary elections in Singapore, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has endorsed his government and warned of tensions in the region. „We must expect more pressure on us,“ said Wong on Thursday during a speech to Singapore’s largest trade union federation. „To navigate these pressures, it will take experience and skill. It will take people in government who have built up trust and close relationships with their counterparts in both America and China.“
