The Swedish Accident Investigation Authority has found no clear evidence of sabotage to two Baltic Sea data cables by a Chinese ship. It could not be established with certainty that the freighter Yi Peng 3 had deliberately dragged its anchor across the seabed to damage the two fiber optic cables in Swedish waters, the authority said on Tuesday. However, Swedish prosecutor Henrik Soderman told Reuters he was still investigating the case in a separate probe, declining to provide further detail. The incidents occurred on November 17 and 18. One of the affected cables connects Finland and Germany, and the other connects Sweden and Lithuania.
