The success of video games such as „Dungeon & Fighter Mobile“ and „Delta Force“ has given Tencent a quarterly result above market expectations. The Chinese technology group announced on Wednesday that turnover had risen by eleven percent to the equivalent of EUR 21.8 billion. Net profit amounted to EUR 6.5 billion. The tech group’s video games business grew by 23 percent in China and 15 percent abroad. Revenue from online advertising increased by 17 percent.
