US citizens will no longer be allowed to be involved in the development or production of microchips in China without obtaining a special license first. This is according to new export control regulations issued by US authorities last week. Previously, US citizens were already prohibited from supporting the development, manufacture or maintenance of weapons in certain countries, particularly nuclear and biological and chemical weapons.
