The U.S. House of Representatives this week introduced a comprehensive bill to strengthen U.S. competition with China. The nearly 3,000-page bill, called the America Competes Act of 2022, includes billions of U.S. dollars for the semiconductor industry in the United States. It also includes new provisions to strengthen U.S. relations with Taiwan and that of the Quad Alliance of the United States, Japan, India and Australia. According to the draft, around 100 million U.S. dollars will be used to counter censorship and disinformation by the Chinese government.
