A supposed paragliding wonder from China has come under increasing suspicion of being partly staged: 55-year-old Peng Yujiang had claimed to have been accidentally caught in a thundercloud during a flight on May 24 and thrown some eight kilometers (8,589 meters) into the air. A video showing him iced up between clouds went viral – spread by Chinese state media and international news agencies. However, it now appears that the video was apparently partially manipulated with the help of artificial intelligence.
