At the beginning of July, the first half of 2024 officially concludes. At the EU level, this means that Hungary is now assuming the Presidency of the Council of the EU. We have analyzed what this means for COP29. After all, a „climate-skeptic axis“ consisting of Hungary, Russia, and a possible Trump administration in the US could potentially impede climate negotiations.
