Davide Faranda wants to take attribution research to a new level. The head of climatology research at the French National Center for Scientific Research (Centre national de la recherche scientifique, CNRS) in Paris has co-founded the Climameter initiative. According to him, he and his colleagues want to investigate „almost in real time“ how an extreme weather event is linked to climate change. However, there is also criticism of the methodology behind the approach.
