Flooding in the Czech Republic last year – despite the escalating climate crisis, fewer and fewer people feel responsible.

Only just over one in two people in Germany (53%) still see themselves as responsible in the fight against climate change. Four years ago, this figure was still more than two-thirds (69%), according to a survey conducted by the opinion research institute Ipsos. More than 23,000 people in 32 countries were surveyed in January and February. The result: In all countries, fewer and fewer people feel responsible. Political measures for climate action are also viewed critically: Of all respondents, 36 percent say that their country is already giving up too much to combat the climate crisis.
