Still in the minority in Germany: Electric buses from Berlin’s public transport company BVG.

Last year, 25 percent of new city buses registered in Germany were powered purely by electric batteries. A further nine percent used hydrogen-powered fuel cells to generate electricity. These are the latest statistics compiled by the Brussels-based think tank Transport and Environment (T&E). The proportion of electric vehicles has therefore risen further compared to previous years and is more than twice as high as for newly registered cars.
