15% of Europe’s economic power is at risk from droughts caused by climate change. According to a study by the European Central Bank (ECB), an insufficient water supply threatens parts of the agricultural, manufacturing, mining and construction sectors in particular. Not only companies in southern Europe, but also those in central and northern Europe could suffer from the consequences of insufficient water.
