Healthcare sector calls for fossil fuels phase-out

In an open letter, 46.3 million medical and health professionals call on COP28 President Al Jaber to make fossil fuel divestment a priority. To that end, the letter demands for the fossil fuel industry to be excluded from climate negotiations. The letter is supported by organizations such as the World Medical Association, the World Federation of Public Health Association and the International Council of Nurses.
