To mark the nationwide „Heat Action Day“ this Wednesday, June 4, the initiators are calling for better protection against high temperatures. „The health risks posed by heat are continuing to increase as a result of the climate crisis,“ says Martin Herrmann, Chairman of the Climate Protection and Health Alliance, which launched the 2023 Action Day together with the German Medical Association. „We must therefore integrate heat protection for health into all infrastructure, construction and urban development measures and give climate action top priority as the most important health project of our time.“
