The EU Commission wants to create a European nature conservation market and leverage private funding for nature conservation with the help of so-called „nature credits.“ A provisional roadmap has now been drawn up. A draft has already been published, and a final version and further details may be available in June, writes the French portal Contexte. A group of experts is then to be formed by the end of the year, and the Commission intends to present guidelines on the certification framework for Nature Credits in 2027.
