Renewables: France with unclear targets

France leads the „EU Nuclear Alliance“. The country is rather vague when it comes to targets for the expansion of renewables.

France is facing criticism due to ambiguities regarding its 2030 target for the share of renewable energies in the electricity supply. In its National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), the country has set a target of consuming around 570 terawatt hours (TWh) of renewable energy by 2030.
