At COP28, twelve countries joined forces to drive forward the phase-out of fossil fuel subsidies.

Twelve states have joined forces at COP28 to advance the phase-out of subsidies for fossil fuels. The states aim to develop national exit strategies.

A coalition led by the Netherlands, consisting of a dozen states, committed on Saturday to release an inventory of their own subsidies for fossil fuels within a year to develop a clear strategy for their abolition.
