West Africa: Climate change increases risk of heavy rain

Heavy rainfall that led to flooding in Nigeria, Niger, Chad and neighboring countries between June and October this year, with more than 800 fatalities, has become 80 times more likely due to climate change: This is the result of an analysis by the World Weather Attribution Group.
