The German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) is also pushing for change, pointing to the overburdening of medium-sized companies. „If the new EU Commission focuses on industrial policy, it should also have the courage to look for a pragmatic solution“. At the same time, the VCI emphasizes the fundamental importance of the directive, saying that it „pursues an important and correct goal“.
