Legal disputes with Poland, energy prices, migration and – not to be forgotten – the departure of Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and German Chancellor Angela Merkel: even in the run-up to last week’s EU summit, it was clear that the discussion on the digital agenda, which the heads of state and government wanted to talk about, would be thin on the ground. In the end, it only lasted about ten minutes on Friday afternoon, shortly before the end of the EU summit, as could be seen from the tweets of Council President Charles Michel’s press spokesman.
