National conservatives and right-wing populists like to campaign against climate action measures. However, they are obviously less keen to deal with the scientific basis of these measures. In any case, MEPs from the Conservatives (ECR) and Patriots (PfE) missed the opportunity on Monday to discuss the issue with one of the continent’s most renowned climate researchers.
