Tomorrow is the day: The first EU summit without Angela Merkel and with Olaf Scholz is on the agenda. One thing is clear: The chancellor will be under special scrutiny in Brussels because some of the new German government’s plans have irritated neighboring states – most recently, the further development of the EU into a „federal European state“.
