COP26 President Alok Sharma has predicted that an agreement in Glasgow will be more difficult than it was in Paris. This is mainly because the industrialized countries in particular are now called upon to agree on concrete measures for global climate protection. This also includes rich countries providing money for the global South – US$100 billion had been agreed. Lukas Scheid analyzes the status of this promise.
