Florika Fink-Hooijer steps down as head of the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment (DG ENV). She intends to take over the reins of the Directorate-General for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (DG HERA), according to reports from Brussels. Until Environment Commissioner Jessika Roswall has appointed a successor, Fink-Hooijer’s current deputy Patrick Child will take over the head of DG ENV.
