The FDP, led by shadow rapporteur Svenja Hahn, especially opposes the agreement on the controversial topic of biometric recognition in public spaces outlined in the current legislative text. Hahn finds it „unspeakable“ that the Spanish Council Presidency ensured that the final legislative text no longer corresponds to the trilogue agreement in crucial points.
